Classic Car Photo Shoot

We had the opportunity this week to spend a day photographing a collection of twelve classic cars for a private collector in Denver. This car collection had everything from a very cool Model A all the way up to a Corvette Stingray which made for a very fun photo shoot! This collector will use the art created from this photo shoot to decorate his new office space. That's a pretty cool way to display your automobile collection.

It's that time, again! Our 4th annual MaxFund Photo Fundraiser is next week and there are just 6 spaces left. From April 4-6 , 2014 we’ll open up the studio for anyone who would like to have a custom photo session to create unique art with their family while helping the animals served by MaxFund. Your donation of $75, $150 or $200 earns you a session. 100% of all donations go directly to MaxFund.

There are 3 levels of sponsorship for this event and MaxFund receives 100% of all the session donations!

• $75 – a lite session (20-30 minutes, ideal for one well behaved dog. These sessions have limited availability.)
• $150 – standard session (60 minutes, ideal for one not so well behaved dog, two dogs or one puppy or your dog(s) and children)
• $200 – standard session and a mounted and matted gift size print (8×10 or equivalent) finished with an archival mat and ready to frame.

Headshot Photography Information

Pricing for headshots starts at $275 and changes based on a number of variables. Your basic Headshot session includes one quick wardrobe change and your favorite two images on disc at printable resolution. Actor headshots are formatted to industry standards and include your name ready to print as 8x10's. All headshots include standard retouching. Hair and makeup services are available for an additional fee.

Other things that influence the cost of headshot photography:​

• Use of the photos. Standard sessions include a license for use of your photos in any non-paid placement for your own self promotion. Photos used in magazines, billboards, television and other paid placements need a custom quote. 
• Number of people in a single session. pro-rated discounts are available for businesses with more than 4 people in any one session.
• Location. I'm mobile and happy to come to you. Travel fees will apply.​
• Hair and Makeup. Both are highly recommended and not included. I have a highly skilled team of professionals available for men and women.​
• Advanced retouching. Some skin conditions and hair/blemish corrections, particularly when you opt not to use professional makeup, will require additional fees. Photoshop changes in wardrobe and background will also require additional fees.​
• Rush services. Standard turnaround is 2-3 business days for proofs and 1-2 business days for final photos. Although we may offer to have your headshot photo session on a weekend, computer work is only done M-F.​

Frequently asked questions

What do I get? – it depends on the level of your donation:

$75 – a lite session (20-30 minutes, ideal for one well behaved dog. These sessions have limited availability.)
$150 – standard session (60 minutes, ideal for one not so well behaved dog, two dogs or one puppy or your dog(s) and children)
$200 – standard session and a mounted and matted gift size print (8×10 or equivalent)

All sessions include a reception for you to come in and enjoy a glass of wine (or soda) while you choose your favorite photographs from the experience. Unless listed, sessions do not include prints or digital files from the session.

What if I want to give more than $200? – If you decide to give more we’ll reward you more. During your session ask about prints, art cards and canvases that we can create for you to help benefit Maxfund.

Can my kids/family be in the pictures? – Yes, please! we would love to have your family in the photos. Please note that it is, however, often easier for the pets to pay attention without their kids present if the kids aren’t going to be in the photos.

I have more than two dogs, can I bring them all? - Please tell us about your dogs so we can determine if we can get everything you need within the standard session. We may allot more time and ask you to increase your donation accordingly.

Who can come, only dogs? – Any well socialized dog is welcome and we’re happy to have your cats or lizard as well. Please note that cats are not always thrilled by the process and their tolerance will determine the extent of your session. We’re unable to have farm animals (including pigs, even if they’re house pigs), however if you’d like to arrange a special session where we travel to you we’ll be happy to discuss it.

Can I help? – Yes, please tell your friends about the event or get your boss to make a donation. We are determined to raise $10,000 this year and we need 60 people to meet that goal.

What if I want something more than what’s listed above with the donation levels? – You may purchase additional products as you desire, there is no requirement for you to do so. A portion of any additional purchase will be donated to MaxFund. We have options for all budgets.

Are there any special rules? – Yes, because the available sessions are very limited you will be required to reserve your spot with a credit card. If you fail to show for your session or cancel your session with less than two weeks notice your card will be charged for your pledge. For everyone’s safety we have a few studio rules that must be followed and also require you to be liable for the behavior of your pets at all times. We do our best to make everyone comfortable and relaxed, but any pet exhibiting aggressive behavior will be asked to leave immediately with no refund of any session fees paid.
